Talking of Brussell's - which we weren't really - I'm growing red ones this year. You know like you can get red cabbage. They arre just starting to form in the stem so when I get chance I'll take a piccy. It's a bit difficult getting down there with all the building, scaffolding and rubble blocking the way.
The courgettes and bell peppers are doing really well but my peas and french beans have been poor.
The blueberries on the bush I bought last year are all over and sooo sweet. The only problem is that 8 or 9 ripen and then no more for ages so there is only enough for one of us to munch on. Maybe I should buy another?!

I never knew you could get red Brussel's Helen but must lookout for them... How's the new building shaping up...?...
It's sounds just like out place has been for the past 12 mths and still trying to put everything back into place is taking forever to do...
I've been experimenting with chick peas, linseeds, Barlotie beans etc..., and having a lot of luck in pots so will plant out more seeds into the veggie garden when the soil warms up a tad... This has been such a cold Winter...
I like the idea of the blueberries...yum...
Hugs...x

Oh builders! They have been with us for 6 weeks now. The extension is up to the roof trusses but the weather is stopping them from doing the roof. Health and Safety say that it has to be a dry, windless day.
It is probably going to take at least another 3-4 weeks, windows and patio doors are ordered and then it needs plastering, electrics, radiators and a floor (just joists at the moment) I have some photo's so I'll try and pop them on when I get a mo.
I'm in the middle of watching the cricket Shona. Ashes match at Edgebaston. We need a draw as a minimum and you Aussies need a win as a minimum.
Have a good day,

I can relate to your frustations with the builders... You'll be able to grow lots of plants in the conservetory and I'd love to see the pics...
I knew the Ashes was on as I listen to ABC radio but know nothing about what's happening...
We're off to the property in the morning for a few days to get some work done... I don't know if I'm going to be much help as I've hurt my shoulder shifting concrete blocks and sitting here nursing it with a hot water bottle...
